The laser engrave panel is made of solid cherry hardwood. The laser engraver creates a deep cut graphic that is darker than the rest of the panel, creating a rich, dramatic, 3 dimensional look. It does not look like the image was just silkscreened onto a panel.
If you have a graphic that will work with our laser, send it to us and we will put it on your modesty panel. It could be a logo, something that you create, or an image from a stock image website.
The maximum size of the engrave panel is 9” x 24”. For custom panels, we can size the engrave panel to best fit the aspect ratio of the graphic. For non-standard graphic panels, we will always send you a mock-up image of the panel for your approval before we laser cut the image.
Images that work the best for cutting into wood are one color line art or illustrations. We can work with some multi-color logos, as long as they can be easily converted into one color.
The best graphic file type is an .eps file with a vector graphic that can scale up without losing resolution. We can also work with any other graphic image that is large enough to fit in the panel.
When the laser cuts into the solid Natural Cherry panel, it burns into the wood, creating not only texture, but a dark brown color that contrasts well with the color of the panel.
For the Estate Cherry panel, to add contrast to the laser engraving, the engraved portion can be painted either black or silver. The black option gives a more subtle look, while the silver is a more bold look.
